How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

    £65,000 - £85,000 + Package | London & UK Nationwide

    Location: London-based with opportunities across the UK

    Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 depending on experience

    Employment: Permanent

    Travel: UK-wide project travel required

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering and construction business delivering complex electrical and building services projects across the UK.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants exposure to major infrastructure, transport, healthcare, energy, aviation and commercial projects, working in technically demanding environments where safety, quality and engineering excellence are critical.

    The role will be primarily focused around London and the South East, with opportunities to work on projects across the country.

    The successful candidate will become part of an engineering-led organisation that works collaboratively with clients, principal contractors, consultants and specialist subcontractors to deliver complex projects from design and planning through to installation, testing and commissioning.

    THE ROLE

    Providing electrical engineering support from design development through to construction and commissioning.
    Reviewing drawings, specifications, technical submissions and design information.
    Coordinating electrical installations with mechanical, civil, structural and specialist systems.
    Working closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
    Supporting electrical design reviews, technical assurance and buildability assessments.
    Monitoring installation quality and ensuring works comply with project specifications and relevant standards.
    Supporting testing, inspection, commissioning and handover activities.
    Identifying technical issues and developing practical engineering solutions.
    Assisting with programme planning, sequencing and coordination of electrical works.
    Supporting the preparation and review of RAMS, ITPs, permits and technical documentation.
    Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
    Providing technical input during progress and coordination meetings.
    Supporting project delivery in live and operational environments where required.PROJECT ENVIRONMENT

    You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects, including:

    ABOUT YOU

    We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in construction, infrastructure or building services.

    You will ideally have:

    HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
    Strong practical electrical engineering experience.
    Experience working on major construction or infrastructure projects.
    Good understanding of electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
    Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
    Experience coordinating multiple disciplines and project stakeholders.
    Strong understanding of CDM, health & safety and quality requirements.
    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider project team.
    Willingness to travel to projects across the UK.WHAT'S ON OFFER
