How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning Support Assistant - Tower Hamlets

    We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join a welcoming special school in Tower Hamlets, supporting secondary aged children with a range of additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring SEN Support Assistant who is passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.

    You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance both in and outside the classroom. You will help pupils engage with lessons, develop confidence and make positive progress.

    The Role

    Position: Learning Support Assistant
    Location: Tower Hamlets
    Setting: Special school
    Pupils: Secondary aged children
    Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
    Assist with classroom activities and learning.
    Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
    Support pupils with their individual learning needs.
    Work collaboratively with staff across education and training.

    About You

    The ideal Learning Support Assistant will be patient, compassionate and enthusiastic about supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience in a SEN or special school environment is desirable, although relevant transferable experience will also be considered.

    You should have excellent communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with pupils. A genuine interest in education and training and a commitment to supporting young people are essential.
