How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Residential Conveyancing Paralegal

    Location: Sheffield City Centre

    Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (DOE)

    Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm

    About the Role

    As a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal, you will assist fee earners with the day-to-day management of residential property transactions, helping to ensure matters progress efficiently and clients receive an excellent standard of service throughout the transaction process.

    Key Responsibilities

    Assisting fee earners with a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters
    Managing and progressing transactions under appropriate supervision
    Dealing with client enquiries and providing regular updates on case progress
    Taking client instructions and accurately recording information
    Preparing correspondence, legal documents, forms, and reports
    Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, financial advisers, and solicitors
    Facilitating the exchange of contracts and completion processes
    Preparing financial statements and completion documentation
    Completing SDLT submissions and associated conveyancing formalities
    Preparing Certificates of Title for mortgage advance funds
    Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements

    About You

    A minimum of one year's experience in a residential conveyancing or similar legal support role
    A good understanding of residential conveyancing procedures and transactions
    Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
    The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    A professional and proactive approach to client care
    The confidence to build effective working relationships with clients and third parties
    A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
