Location: Hauxton, Cambridge

Salary: £13,988 per annum (£25,877.80 FTE)

Hours: 20 hours per week Friday - Tuesday 10am - 2pm 

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Catering / Kitchen Assistant to join a welcoming team within a residential care environment.

You’ll work alongside the kitchen team to help prepare and serve meals, maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and ensure residents enjoy a positive dining experience. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time role with a consistent working pattern and no late evenings.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the kitchen team with food preparation and general catering duties.
Help with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments.
Keep kitchen, dining and food preparation areas clean, tidy and organised.
Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
Help monitor stock levels and ensure supplies are available when needed.
Take care to minimise food waste wherever possible.
Contribute ideas and feedback to help improve the dining experience.
Work as part of a supportive team to provide a high standard of service to residents.About You:
Available to work weekends and the set shift pattern Friday - Tuesday 10am-2pm, these days / hours are non negotiable 
You’ll be dependable, positive and happy working as part of a team. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail and understands the importance of maintaining excellent hygiene standards.
Previous experience in catering, hospitality or a similar environment would be an advantage, but full training can be provided for the right person.
A Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification would be beneficial, along with a basic understanding of kitchen equipment and food safety.  Why Join?
