How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will need to be confident working in a busy site environment, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that works are completed to the required standards.

    Key Requirements

Must hold a valid British passport, as the project is within a security-cleared environment.
Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on construction or civil engineering projects.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and site requirements.
Experience with setting out, levels and surveying.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy site environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider site team.
Reliable, punctual and able to commit to the required working pattern.
    Relevant qualifications and site experience.

    Hours & Pay

    £600 per week PAYE Umbrella

The role involves 12-hour shifts and candidates must be fully comfortable committing to this working pattern.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are not willing or available to work 12-hour shifts, please do not apply.

This is an ongoing opportunity for the right candidate, with the potential for regular work for those who demonstrate the required skills, reliability and commitment.

If you are an experienced Site Engineer looking for your next opportunity in Oxford and can commit to the 12-hour shift pattern, please apply with your up-to-date CV and we will be in touch to discuss the role further
