How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Development Manager

    Location: Attleborough, Norfolk (Hybrid - Office & Remote)

We deliver accredited training, bespoke consultancy services and fire risk assessments to organisations across the care, construction, commercial and social care sectors.

    As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to help expand our client base while delivering exceptional service to our existing customers.

    The Role

    This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive sales professional who enjoys building long-term relationships and helping clients find the right solutions for their training and compliance needs.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing existing client accounts, managing retainer relationships, and supporting ongoing business growth.

    A background within training, learning and development, health & safety, compliance, or a related sector would be highly advantageous.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development & New Client Acquisition

    Identify, research and engage prospective clients across a range of sectors.
    Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, marketing initiatives and outbound activity.
    Attend industry events, networking groups and client meetings to build relationships and raise company awareness.
    Manage inbound enquiries and follow up on sales leads promptly.
    Prepare, send and follow up quotations and proposals.
    Account Management & Client Retention

    Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
    Act as a trusted point of contact, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
    Deliver retainer package services, including quarterly review meetings and ongoing client support.
    Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell training and consultancy services.
    Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention and repeat business.
    Sales & Business Performance

    Maintain an active sales pipeline using Zoho CRM.
    Keep accurate records of all sales and client activity.
    Monitor and report on KPIs, including new business won, revenue generated and client retention.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute towards overall business growth targets.
    Marketing & Brand Support

    Support the development of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
    Contribute content for newsletters, case studies, social media and client communications.
    Help promote the full range of services to prospective and existing clients.
    Training & Development

    Complete a comprehensive onboarding programme to gain a thorough understanding of  our clients services and customer base.
    Participate in ongoing professional development and industry training.
    About You

    You will be a confident communicator with a passion for building relationships and delivering outstanding customer service.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    Previous experience in Business Development, Account Management, Customer Success or B2B Sales.
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    Strong organisational and time management abilities.
    Self-motivated, proactive and target-driven.
    Ability to work independently as well as part of a small, supportive team.
    Competent user of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
    Desirable Experience

    Previous experience within a training provider, health & safety, compliance, consultancy or learning & development environment.
    Knowledge of Zoho CRM.
    Understanding of health & safety legislation or accredited training programmes.
