How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Site Manager
    Location: Swaleside, Kent
    Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 + package
    Sector: M&E / Building Services / Secure Facilities
    We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Site Manager to work on a major project at Swaleside.
    This role will focus heavily on site surveys and the assessment of existing electrical installations, working closely with the wider project team to establish site conditions and identify requirements ahead of the planned works.
    Previous prison or secure-sector experience is not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong electrical background who have experience carrying out site surveys, inspections or working within complex live environments.
    The Role
    As Electrical Site Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out and overseeing electrical site surveys, gathering information from site and supporting the project team with the planning and delivery of the works.
    Key responsibilities include:
    *
    Carrying out detailed electrical site surveys.
    *
    Assessing existing electrical installations and site conditions.
    *
    Identifying existing infrastructure, services and potential issues.
    *
    Recording survey information accurately and producing site reports.
    *
    Reviewing drawings and specifications against existing site conditions.
    *
    Liaising with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.
    *
    Identifying access, installation and logistical requirements.
    *
    Highlighting potential risks, clashes and technical issues.
    *
    Supporting the planning and programming of electrical works.
    *
    Ensuring all site activities are undertaken safely and in accordance with RAMS and project requirements.
    *
    Providing technical input and support to the wider project team.
    About You
    We're looking for an electrical professional with strong site-based experience who is confident working independently and communicating with a range of project stakeholders.
    Previous experience in a prison, secure or custodial environment is not required.
    Suitable backgrounds could include:
