Finance Manager (Part-time)

Your new role
As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include:

Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process.
Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis.
Support senior leaders with financial decision-making and budget management.
Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective action where required.
Provide regular financial information and insight to stakeholders across the organisation.
Oversee core finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations and expenses.
Support payroll processes and monitor staffing costs against budget.
Complete month-end procedures including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain strong financial controls, compliance and governance processes.
Manage and develop a small finance team while driving continuous improvement across systems and procedures.
Support audit requirements and act as a key contact for finance-related enquiries.

What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will need:

Previous experience producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance and accounting best practice.
Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
The ability to analyse complex financial information and communicate it clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Experience leading or supporting finance teams would be advantageous.
Experience within education, not-for-profit or other publicly funded environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
