How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Welder / Plater - 12 Month FTC
    Location: Sheffield, S9 1TP
    Salary: £32,304 per annum + benefits + shift allowance
    Shift Pattern :
    Mornings 06h00 – 15.15 – Monday to Thursday
    Afternoons 15.00 – 00.30 – Monday to Thursday

    The Role:
    We are recruiting for skilled Welders / Platers to carry out manual welding of production items and manufacture plated items as required.
    Key Responsibilities:
    * Carry out all required manual-welding processes to the required standard.
    * Weld production items to the required design and tolerances.
    * Mark out, manufacture and weld together components for weldments as required for tooling and maintenance purposes.
    * Plating fixtures.
    * Maintain a safe and tidy working environment in accordance with company and legislative requirements
    * Operate in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance System and help to improve/develop processes
    * Work within Company procedures as required including quality, safety and environmental management processes
    Skills and Experience:
    * Previous experience should include manufacturing industry, preferably in a medium to heavy environment
    * Project/jobbing environment with a focus on manual welding working to production schedules
    * Awareness of safety legislation and quality procedures (ISO 9001)
    * Qualifications in MMA and MAGS welding processes
    * Qualified and competent in Plating processes
    * Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
