We are recruiting an experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker for a 4-bed Ofsted-rated Good children's home in Yarnton, near Oxford.
This role could suit someone already working as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, or an experienced Children's Residential Support Worker ready to take on more responsibility.
You will join an established and growing children's residential care provider offering excellent training, supportive management and genuine development opportunities.
What you need
To be considered for this Senior Children's Residential Support Worker role, you will need:

At least 12 months' experience working with children and young people
*
Level 3 Residential Childcare, Caring for Children and Young People, or equivalent
*
Experience of therapeutic, child-centred care
*
Confidence supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
*
Ability to lead shifts and support colleagues
*
Good written communication and record-keeping skills
*
Flexibility to work long days, weekends and sleep-ins
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Existing right to work in the UK

The role
As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you will help create a safe, nurturing and consistent home environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Building positive relationships with young people
*
Supporting daily routines, education, activities and independence
*
Providing clear boundaries and therapeutic support
*
Leading shifts and supporting the wider team
*
Contributing to care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans
*
Maintaining accurate records
*
Supporting safeguarding and child protection procedures
*
Working alongside managers, social workers and other professionals
