How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Repairs Planner

    Location: Lewisham
    Contract: Temporary to Permanent
    Salary: £16-£18 per hour
    Working Arrangement: Fully office-based initially, with potential for 1 day working from home once settled into the role

    The Role

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Planner to join a busy repairs and maintenance team based in Lewisham

    You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling repairs and maintenance works, ensuring jobs are allocated efficiently and appointments are managed effectively.

    This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential for hybrid working once you are fully settled and confident in the role.

    Key Responsibilities

    Schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance appointments.
    Allocate jobs to operatives based on location, availability and skill set.
    Manage operative diaries and workloads effectively.
    Liaise with residents, operatives, contractors and internal teams.
    Ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales.
    Deal with appointment changes, cancellations and scheduling issues.
    Monitor outstanding and overdue repairs and take appropriate action.
    Prioritise emergency and urgent repairs appropriately.
    Keep internal systems and records up to date.
    Handle resident queries professionally and provide regular updates.
    Work closely with the wider repairs team to ensure an efficient service.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Previous experience as a Repairs Planner, Scheduler, Repairs Coordinator or similar.
    Experience within social housing, property maintenance or a similar environment is highly desirable.
    Strong organisational and time-management skills.
    Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
    Good attention to detail and strong IT skills.
    A confident and professional telephone manner.
    The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
