How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

This is not a role for someone who simply wants to process paperwork and just follow a routine.

Our client is looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, spotting what needs to be done and getting involved. Someone who communicates confidently, learns quickly and takes pride in helping both customers and colleagues succeed.

If you like being busy, enjoy responsibility and want the opportunity to develop your career as the company grows, you could be a great fit.

You will play an important part in supporting their sales operation, looking after customers and helping the team achieve its commercial objectives.

Alongside supporting the wider sales team, you will also have the opportunity to work towards your own sales targets and develop your commercial skills.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Preparing and producing customer quotations.
Processing a high volume of customer and product orders accurately and efficiently.
Taking and managing orders by telephone and email.
Speaking confidently with customers and building strong, long-term working relationships.
Handling customer enquiries, questions and complaints professionally.
Following up quotations, opportunities and customer requirements.
Liaising with external companies and suppliers to help ensure deliveries run smoothly.
Keeping customers updated and proactively communicating throughout the order process.
Sharing important customer feedback and commercial information with the wider team.
Supporting the sales team with day-to-day operations and helping the team achieve its objectives.
Taking ownership of your workload and prioritising the tasks that matter most.
Looking for opportunities to improve the customer experience and the way our client works.

    The Person They’re Looking For

You may already be an experienced Sales Administrator, or you may have developed strong customer-facing and commercial skills in another role. What matters most to them is your attitude, capability and willingness to learn.

You are likely to thrive if you:

Have at least 2 years' experience in a customer-facing, sales or client-focused role.
Are confident and professional when speaking with customers on the telephone.
Have a positive, proactive and solution-focused attitude.
Take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Are commercially aware and motivated by achieving results.
Learn quickly and adapt well to new systems, products and processes.
Are highly organised and capable of managing several priorities at once.
    Communicate clearly, professionally and promptly.
    Have strong attention to detail.
Are comfortable using modern IT systems and CRM software.
Work well independently while also being a genuine team player.
Enjoy being part of a growing business where everyone is prepared to contribute.

    What Success Looks Like

In this role, our client will support you to develop a strong understanding of their company, their customers and their day-to-day operations.

    Successful team members will:

    Build trusted relationships with customers.
Deliver consistently excellent customer service, including during busy periods.
Respond quickly and proactively to customers and colleagues.
Keep customers informed rather than waiting for them to chase.
Produce accurate quotes and process orders efficiently.
Plan their workload effectively and meet agreed deadlines.
Contribute positively to sales performance and team objectives.
Look for better, smarter and more efficient ways of doing things.
Become someone the wider team can rely on.

    Ready for Your Next Challenge

Our client wants people to build careers with themselves, not simply fill positions.

They offer the opportunity to join an ambitious business at an exciting stage of its growth, where good ideas are welcomed and strong performance is recognised.

For the right person, this role offers genuine scope to take on more responsibility and progress as the business continues to expand.

Their recruitment process is designed to identify motivated, capable people who will thrive and build a successful career with them
