You will be joining a fast-pace environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, AOG, automotive retail & FMCG based customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, sea freight & road freight solutions, which are both cost effective & time sensitive.
Job Description
As a Air Freight Forwarder (Nights) you will report in to the Air Freight Operations Manager on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the Manchester (hybrid) office:
* Manage air & road freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentations - additionally informing about the freight prices, port charges, cost of special documents, insurance prices as well as prices for handling the goods.
* Responsible for MAWB and HAWB documentation.
* Nominating carriers, hauliers, shipping lines, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms.
* Handling customs entries and arranging billings for VAT/Duties
* Raise additional customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country (ISF,COO, clearance documentation etc)
* Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency
* Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements
* You will operate across Sunday to Thursday (22:00-06:00) on a night shift pattern.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have an expansive background in the air freight forwarding industry. The ideal Air Freight Forwarder (Nights) will have the following skills and experience:
* 3+ year's experience in freight forwarding in air freight
* Experience of pricing, quoting and operation air freight shipments
* Knowledge of airway bills is highly desirable (AWB / MAWB / HAWB)
* Excellent customer service experience
* Commutable to Manchester (hybrid).
* The ability to operate across Sunday to Thursday (22:00-06:00)
