How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you an experienced Data Analyst who can transform complex information into clear, commercially valuable insights? Join a forward-thinking analytics team where data sits at the heart of decision-making and your work will directly influence customer, operational and financial performance.
    Location: Bath
    Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE
    Hours: Full-time, permanent
Hybrid working: Two days in our Bath-based office and three days working from home
    About Truespeed
At Truespeed, we’re on a mission to transform broadband across the UK. We’re a rapidly growing full-fibre broadband provider, bringing reliable, high-speed connectivity to communities across the South West, North West and South East of England.
We’re building our own full-fibre network and are passionate about delivering a better experience for our customers and the communities we serve. As we continue to grow, data is becoming increasingly important in helping us understand our customers, improve our services and make smarter decisions.
We’re looking for someone who can help us turn that data into meaningful insight and real business impact.
    The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing Analytics team and help shape how we use data across the business.
You’ll be part of our Retail Analytics squad, working closely with teams across our two retail brands, Truespeed and Lila Connect. You’ll play an important role in helping us attract, serve and retain customers, using data to understand performance, identify opportunities and support better decision-making.
This is a role with plenty of variety and ownership. You could be building a Power BI dashboard that gives a team instant visibility of performance, exploring a dataset to uncover an opportunity, or working with stakeholders to answer an important business question.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just report what the data says, but wants to understand why it matters and what we should do about it.
    What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference across the business. Your work will include:
    * Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and self-serve reporting, helping teams understand performance and make confident decisions.
    * Using data to investigate business challenges, identify trends and uncover opportunities to improve performance.
    * Writing SQL and using dbt to build and maintain robust data models.
    * Taking ownership of analytical work from the initial business question through to recommendation, delivery and measurement of impact.
    * Working with stakeholders to understand their challenges and identify the best data, tools and approaches to solve them.
    * Proactively exploring our data to uncover insights that could make a real difference to our customers and the business.
    * Working with data owners and engineering teams to identify and resolve data quality issues.
    * Helping shape requirements for new data pipelines and data feeds that enable better reporting and deeper insight.
    * Facilitating workshops and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    * Turning complex analysis into clear, engaging and actionable insights.
    * Helping us build a stronger data-driven culture by encouraging teams to use data in their everyday decision-making.
    What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is curious, analytical and commercially minded, with the confidence to work with people across the business.
    You’ll ideally bring:
    * 2+ years’ experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role.
    * Experience creating interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
    * Strong SQL skills.
    * Experience with Python would be advantageous.
    * Excellent Excel skills and good working knowledge of PowerPoint.
    * A strong understanding of data modelling, including data grain, relationships, dimensional models and reusable metrics.
    * The ability to take complex data and turn it into simple, compelling and actionable insights.
    * Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    * The ability to manage competing priorities and balance planned analytical work with urgent and ad hoc requests.
    * A commercial mindset and the ability to connect analysis to customer outcomes, operational performance and financial impact.
    * A curious and proactive approach – you’ll naturally want to ask questions, challenge assumptions and find out what the data is really telling us.
    * The ability to work at pace, make decisions and take ownership of your work.
    * Knowledge of the telecoms sector is desirable, but definitely not essential.
    * Right to work in the UK.
    Why Join Truespeed?
This isn’t a role where you’ll simply produce reports and hand them over. We want our analysts to be trusted partners to the business, helping teams understand what is happening, why it is happening and what we can do about it.
You’ll join a collaborative Analytics team where you’ll have the opportunity to work with modern cloud data technologies, develop your analytical skills and see the direct impact of your work.
As Truespeed continues to grow, there’s plenty of opportunity to make your mark, take ownership and help shape how we use data across the business.
    Our Benefits
Hybrid working – two days in our Bath office and three days from home
    Pension scheme
    Life insurance
    Private healthcare
Access to a full suite of employee benefits covering health, lifestyle and financial wellbeing
    24/7 online GP access
    Free onsite parking
If you’re a curious and commercially minded Data Analyst who enjoys solving real business problems and turning data into action, we’d love to hear from you.
    Ready to Apply?
We’re reviewing applications on a rolling basis, so we encourage early submissions.
We’re proud to be building a diverse and inclusive team at Truespeed, where people can bring their whole selves to work and feel supported to do their best. We value the unique perspectives, experiences and ideas that every individual brings, and we believe this makes us stronger as a business.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to creating a fair and inclusive recruitment experience for everyone.
Please note: You must have valid authorisation to work in the United Kingdom, as we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position.
