How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EXPERIENCED PANEL TECHNICIAN
    Location: Oswestry
    Salary: Up to £42,000 Depending on Experience
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
    Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00

    THE ROLE
    As an Experienced Panel Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality structural and cosmetic repairs to accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer and industry standards.

    Working as part of an experienced bodyshop team, you will play an important role in maintaining repair quality and vehicle throughput while ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop to the highest possible standard.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods
    ·Carry out panel replacement, repair and alignment on accident-damaged vehicles
    ·Complete structural and cosmetic body repairs to a high standard
    ·Use appropriate tools and equipment to repair and reshape vehicle panels
    ·Work closely with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians and Workshop Controllers
    ·Ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales and production targets
    ·Follow manufacturer repair methods, quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
    ·Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Panel Technician who takes pride in their workmanship and has a strong understanding of modern accident repair techniques.

    ·Proven experience as a Panel Technician / Panel Beater within an accident repair bodyshop
    ·Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and accident damage
    ·Experience with panel replacement, repair, alignment and reshaping
    ·Ability to work accurately while maintaining high-quality standards
    ·Good understanding of manufacturer repair methods and bodyshop procedures
    ·IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous but not essential
    ·Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    ·Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment
    ·Reliable, professional and conscientious approach to work
    ·Strong team player with excellent communication skills
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
