How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Review engineer reports and assist with diagnosing technical issues.

    * Ensure all service, reactive and remedial works are correctly booked through the company's internal systems.

    * Monitor the engineers' workload and planner to ensure works are completed within agreed timescales.

    * Price and quote AC servicing, reactive works, remedial works and small installations.

    * Review engineer findings and identify additional works and commercial opportunities.

    * Assist with larger AC projects alongside senior management, including planning, costing and delivery.

    * Obtain suitable labour and subcontractor support where required for larger projects.

    * Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers regarding technical issues, parts, pricing and lead times.

    * Ensure service contracts and PPM requirements are properly scheduled and managed.

    * Ensure the business remains appropriately affiliated, accredited and compliant with relevant AC industry associations, manufacturers and certification requirements.

    * Keep company registrations, training requirements and industry accreditations up to date.

    * Assist with recruitment, training and development of AC engineers as the department grows.

    * Experience with Mitsubishi and other major AC manufacturers would be advantageous.

    * Experience pricing service and remedial works.

    * Good understanding of PPM contracts and service requirements.

    * Experience managing or supervising engineers.

    * Ability to read engineer reports, identify requirements and produce accurate quotations.

You will have the opportunity to develop the AC department, work directly with senior management and have a genuine influence over how the department operates and grows.

This is a key role within the business, with the opportunity to build and manage the AC service function from the company's head office
