How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant - Early Years Support
    Harrow, HA3 (commutable from Kenton, Harrow & Wealdstone, Stanmore, Kingsbury and Wembley)
    £110-£120 per day
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

    Long Term Futures is recruiting an experienced EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Harrow this September.
    This position is focused on supporting young children with special educational needs within the Early Years, combining learning support with communication, social development and helping pupils become increasingly independent.
    The school is looking for someone who understands that progress in EYFS can look very different for children with additional needs. You'll need to be patient, observant and confident adapting your approach to the individual child.

    Your Role
    As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

    Support children with additional needs within the EYFS environment
    Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group SEN support
    Help develop communication, language and interaction skills
    Use visual resources, modelling and repetition to support understanding
    Encourage engagement with both structured activities and learning through play
    Support early phonics, literacy and numeracy at an appropriate developmental level
    Help pupils manage routines, transitions and the expectations of the school day
    Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to follow individual support plans and EHCP targetsWhat We're Looking For

    Previous experience supporting children with SEN within EYFS or primary education
    Understanding of ASD, speech and language or communication needs is highly desirable
    Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, visual timetables or sensory strategies would be advantageous
    Good understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework
    Patient, nurturing and consistent approach
    Confident working closely with children who require additional support
