We are working with an established and growing groundworks contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to support the Build Director and wider operational team.
This is a new position within the business, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential groundworks professional to take on greater responsibility and progress their career within a growing company.
The successful candidate will oversee approximately 5–6 live residential sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and support the delivery of approximately 5–6 residential groundworks projects.
* Work closely with the Build Director and wider site teams.
* Provide leadership and support to Site Managers and operational teams.
* Monitor programme, progress, quality and health & safety across projects.
* Manage subcontractors, labour and resources effectively.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and main contractors.
* Identify and resolve issues before they impact programme or cost.
* Attend site meetings and provide regular updates to senior management.
* Help drive consistency and best practice across all sites.
About You.
You will ideally have:
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within residential groundworks.
* Strong understanding of residential construction and groundworks operations.
* Experience managing multiple sites simultaneously.
* The confidence to lead Site Managers and wider teams.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
* A strong personality and positive attitude.
* The ability to build good working relationships at all levels.
