How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description – Complex Care Support Worker

    Job Title- Complex Care Support Worker

    Location- Ipswich, Suffolk

    Hours- Full-time, Part-time and Bank Positions Available

    Shifts available across a 24-hour rota, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays (Please note bank holidays are paid at time and a half). Flexible working opportunities are available.

    Job Purpose

    We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Complex Care Support Workers to join our growing team in Ipswich. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to adults and children with a range of complex health needs across multiple care packages within the local community.

    You will work in clients' own homes, supporting individuals to live as independently and comfortably as possible while promoting dignity, choice, safety, and wellbeing.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans, risk assessments, and clinical guidance.

    Provide personal care with dignity and respect.

    Support clients with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

    Assist with moving and handling using appropriate equipment and safe techniques.

    Administer or assist with medication in accordance with company policies and training.

    Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or emotional wellbeing.

    Support clients with nutrition, hydration, meal preparation, and feeding where required.

    Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.

    Accurately complete care records, medication records, and daily documentation.

    Promote independence, choice, and social inclusion.

    Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.

    Follow safeguarding, infection prevention, health and safety, confidentiality, and company policies at all times.

    Types of Complex Care You May Support

    Depending on your training and experience, you may support service users with:

    * Spinal cord injuries

    * Acquired brain injuries

    * Neurological conditions

    * Multiple sclerosis

    * Motor neurone disease (MND)

    * Cerebral palsy

    * Muscular dystrophy

    * Epilepsy

    * Learning disabilities

    * Autism spectrum conditions

    * Physical disabilities

    * Palliative and end-of-life care

    * Respiratory conditions requiring oxygen therapy

    * Tracheostomy care

    * Ventilator support

    * PEG feeding

    * Catheter care

    * Bowel management

    * Stoma care

    * Diabetes management

    Essential Requirements

    Caring, compassionate, and professional attitude.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    Flexible approach to working across multiple care packages and locations within Ipswich.

    Good written and verbal English.

    Commitment to delivering safe, person-centred care.

    Willingness to undertake mandatory and specialist clinical training.

    Desirable Requirements

    Previous experience in complex care, home care, healthcare, or support work.

    Experience supporting clients with clinical interventions such as PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, ventilation, catheter care, or epilepsy management.

    Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential).

    Medication administration experience.
