How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Working within a busy and established branch, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, developing customer relationships and leading the branch team to deliver excellent service and commercial results.     Job Duties Include:

    Take responsibility for the day-to-day sales performance and commercial success of the branch.

    Lead, motivate and develop the branch sales team to achieve agreed sales and profit targets.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with existing trade customers, maximising repeat business and customer loyalty.

    Identify and develop new business opportunities within the local automotive aftermarket.

    Promote the full range of automotive parts, accessories and associated products to trade customers.

    Monitor branch sales performance, KPIs and customer activity, taking action where improvements are required.

    Work closely with the Branch Manager and wider management team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

    Support the team with customer enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities where required.

    Ensure excellent levels of customer service are maintained across all branch activities.

    Develop relationships with local garages, workshops, bodyshops, fleet operators and other trade customers.

    Monitor competitor activity and local market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

    Ensure pricing, margins and commercial targets are managed effectively.

    Support stock management and availability to ensure the branch can maximise sales opportunities.

    Coach and mentor team members, providing regular feedback and helping to develop their product and sales knowledge.

    Ensure all company procedures, Health & Safety requirements and operational standards are consistently followed.

    Requirements:

    Previous experience within the

    automotive aftermarket, motor factor or automotive parts industry

    .

    Experience in a

    Branch Sales Manager, Parts Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Sales Manager

    or similar role.

    Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.

    Strong knowledge of automotive parts and the aftermarket sector.

    Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

    Confident leadership and people management abilities.

    Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of sales, margins and profitability.

    Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.

    Good IT skills and experience using sales or branch management systems.

    Full UK Driving Licence.
