How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    InstaStaff are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator to join a manufacturing company based in Aston.

    You will be required to provide support to the Purchasing Department to ensure the efficient management of procurement activities, supplier communications, purchase orders, and related administrative processes.

    Experience within a Purchasing Administrator role is required.

    The duties of the Purchasing Administrator will include:

    * Managing and progressing purchase orders from placement through to delivery, ensuring suppliers meet agreed lead times and delivery commitments.

    * Maintaining accurate purchasing records and updating internal systems with delivery schedules, order status updates, and supplier information.

    * Liaising daily with suppliers to obtain delivery updates, resolve delays, and communicate any changes to internal stakeholders.

    * Reviewing supplier order acknowledgements against purchase orders to identify and resolve discrepancies relating to pricing, quantities, specifications, or delivery dates.

    * Supporting import and customs clearance processes to ensure inbound shipments are delivered efficiently.

    * Communicating effectively with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Branch teams to ensure accurate information is shared and customer expectations are managed.

    * Supporting the resolution of supplier issues, concessions and shortages.

    * Maintaining all relevant purchasing documentation in accordance with AS9100.

    * Assisting with stock management activities, including annual stock checks and inventory reconciliation

    * Providing general administrative support to the Purchasing Manager, buyer and wider business as required.

    The ideal Purchasing Administrator will have:

    * Experience within a similar role

    * Excellent communication skills

    * Excellent attention to detail

    The hours of work for the Purchasing Administrator will be Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, full-time office based.

    The salary for the Purchasing Administrator will be £28,000
