How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Planned Works Manager – Overview

    An exciting opportunity has arisen with a social housing provider seeking an experienced Interim Planned Works Manager to lead the delivery of planned and capital works programmes across a residential property portfolio.
    The successful candidate will provide technical leadership within the Asset Management function, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget and in compliance with all statutory requirements. This role requires a strong background in planned maintenance, contract management, compliance, and capital investment programmes within a social housing or property environment.
    Planned Works Manager – Key Responsibilities

    Lead the delivery of planned and capital works programmes.
    Manage contractors, consultants and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
    Oversee contract administration and contractor performance management.
    Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, building safety requirements and industry regulations.
    Manage project budgets, financial forecasting and expenditure monitoring.
    Prepare and review technical specifications and programme documentation.
    Provide technical advice and leadership across the Asset Management team.
    Support procurement activities and ensure adherence to procurement regulations.
    Monitor health and safety performance across programmes and projects.
    Manage and support technical staff, driving high performance and professional development.
    Planned Works Manager – Applicant Essentials
    Essential

    Significant experience delivering planned and capital works programmes within a social housing provider or similar property environment.
    Strong contract administration and contractor management experience.
    Comprehensive knowledge of building compliance and statutory requirements.
    Proven experience managing budgets and financial forecasting.
    Strong understanding of asset management and property maintenance.
    Experience writing specifications and delivering technical projects.
    Excellent knowledge of construction legislation, procurement processes and health and safety requirements.
    Experience leading and managing technical teams.
    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
    Desirable

    Relevant professional qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Asset Management or a related discipline.
    Membership of a recognised professional body.
    Experience working within a social housing provider environment.
