How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Supervisor - Manufacturing / Fabrication

    We're recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business.

    This is a hands-on shop-floor leadership role where you'll take responsibility for keeping production running safely, efficiently and on schedule. You'll lead and develop a skilled manufacturing team, manage day-to-day priorities and play a key part in driving improvements across quality, productivity and delivery performance.

    The Role

    Lead and coordinate day-to-day shop-floor production.
    Allocate labour and resources to meet changing production demands.
    Monitor quality, productivity and delivery performance.
    Manage absence, holidays, performance and general team development.
    Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and shop-floor discipline.
    Troubleshoot production issues and work collaboratively with other departments.
    Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives.
    Develop skills within the team through training and multi-skilling.What We're Looking For

    Strong background within metal fabrication/manufacturing, including welding and/or metal forming.
    Previous production supervisory or team leadership experience.
    Strong people-management and communication skills.
    Good understanding of Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD).
    Continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing mindset.
    Comfortable using ERP/MRP systems and standard IT packages.
    IOSH or similar Health & Safety training would be advantageous.This would suit a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Fabrication Supervisor or experienced Team Leader looking for a hands-on role with plenty of responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact.
