How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mobile Electrical Engineer North of the UK – Multiple Airport Sites
    Leading Facilities Management Provider | Aviation Maintenance Contract

    £45,000 + £125 Standby Rate + Overtime + Company Van & Fuel Card
    We’re looking for a qualified Level 3 Electrical Engineer with 2391 Inspection & Testing to join a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider, supporting one of our exciting new aviation maintenance contracts.

    Role Overview As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering planned, reactive and preventative electrical maintenance across a portfolio of major airports throughout the UK.

    The role will cover:

    Manchester 
    East Midlands 
    Humberside
    Leeds / Bradford 
    Liverpool 
    Birmingham 
    Newcastle 
    Glasgow 
    Edinburgh  What you’ll be doing
    Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
    Conducting electrical inspection and testing in line with current regulations
    Completing EICRs and other electrical certification where required
    Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults safely and efficiently
    Supporting the wider FM team to ensure critical airport facilities remain operational
    Responding to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirements
    Ensuring all works are completed to the required health, safety and compliance standards
    Completing accurate maintenance records, reports and certification
    Working closely with clients, subcontractors and site teams
    Participating in the 1-in-5 call-out rota once fully inducted What we’re looking for
    Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent
    2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
    Strong commercial electrical maintenance experience
    Proven experience in electrical testing, inspection and fault finding
    Good knowledge of current electrical regulations
    Previous experience within an FM, commercial, critical or aviation environment is desirable
    Full UK driving licence
    Willingness to travel extensively between sites
    Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
    Excellent communication and customer service skills
    Flexible and proactive approach
    Willingness to participate in a 1-in-5 call-out rota What’s in it for you?
