We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join a small, friendly workshop team for our client based at Ely. You will be building and refurbishing one-off and low-volume special purpose machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical assembly / fitting
- Stripping old machines
- Cleaning parts
- Identifying worn parts and sourcing suitable replacements
- General mechanical fitting work
Requirements:
- Mechanical background and relevant experience
- Good understanding of mechanical drawings and schematics
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrable use of hand tools and light power tools
- General knowledge of machine wiring
- Manual machine shop experience would be advantageous
