How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Window and Doors Fabricator / Window and Door Assembler

    Location: Ealing

    Salary: £14.00 – £18.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

    Job Type: Full-time

    Shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    Job Overview

    On behalf of one of our established clients, we are seeking an experienced window assembler and door assembler to join their production team as a window and doors fabricator. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling high-quality windows and doors in accordance with technical specifications and drawings. As a dedicated assembler, this role requires the ability to work independently, provide support to less experienced assembler team members, and ensure a clean, organized, and safe workspace for overall window and door production.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    *

    Window and Door Assembly: Perform precise window assembly and door assembly using hand and power tools according to technical specifications; apply silicone and gaskets accurately to every window and door during fabrication.

    *

    Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read and follow detailed technical drawings for custom windows and doors.

    *

    Quality Control: Inspect each completed window and door for defects prior to sign-off; identify and report any faults during the window and door assembly process.

    *

    Independent Work: Manage daily task loads as a lead assembler to meet target output for windows and doors.

    *

    Team Support: Assist and guide junior window and door fabricator staff with complex assembler tasks and troubleshooting.

    *

    Health and Safety: Adhere to all Health and Safety policies while fabricating windows and doors; maintain a clean work area.

    *

    Forklift Operations: Assist with moving raw materials used for window and door fabrication (valid forklift certification required).

    *

    Documentation: Sign off on completed window and door panels to confirm quality standards are met.

    Skills and Qualifications

    *

    Proven experience as a window assembler, door assembler, or general window and doors fabricator.

    *

    Proficiency in using hand and power tools for window and door manufacturing.

    *

    Strong ability to read drawings for custom window and door specifications.

    *

    High attention to detail for window and door quality control.

    Factory environment focused on window and door assembly, with standard machinery, noise, and dust. PPE is fully provided
