How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities:

Provide 2:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
Support pupils in managing emotions, behaviour, and social interactions using positive behaviour strategies.
Assist with the delivery of personalised learning and intervention activities aligned with EHCPs and behaviour plans.
Help create a safe, calm, and structured environment that promotes engagement and emotional regulation.
Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage confidence, resilience, and independence.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
Monitor behaviour and emotional development, contributing to progress tracking and reporting.
    Candidate Requirements:

Experience working with SEMH, behaviour needs, or vulnerable children is highly desirable (school-based or alternative settings).
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach with strong behaviour management skills.
Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
    What the School Offers:

Competitive daily pay of £100 – £115, depending on experience.
September start with long-term opportunities available.
Ongoing training and professional development, particularly around SEMH and behaviour support.
A welcoming, supportive team environment with a strong focus on staff wellbeing.
The chance to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of children who need it most.
