Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Habitation Surveyor to work across our vibrant organisation.
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Duration: Permanent
What You’ll Do:
* Respond promptly to customer enquiries to build loyalty and maintain company reputation.
* Attend properties at convenient times to survey and resolve reported defects in line with company obligations.
* Identify appropriate solutions and aim to resolve repairs quickly while minimising commercial and reputational impact.
* Manage workloads using internal systems, liaising with colleagues, customers and contractors to achieve positive repair outcomes and provide regular updates.
* Work collaboratively across teams to support service delivery.
* Monitor and analyse defect trends to drive quality improvements, inform project management practices and support long-term asset strategies.
* Stay up to date with building regulations, industry standards and best practices to provide technical guidance when required.
* Carry out progress and post-inspections to ensure value for money, identify service failures, recommend improvements and help prevent recurring issues.
What You’ll Need:
* Experience or qualification in Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
* Good knowledge of the Fitness for Human Habitation Act 2018 and relevant building legislation and regulations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and software packages such as Aareon for mobile working.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
