How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Morson Edge are currently seeking a HSE Manager on a contracting basis for our Aerospace client to be based in Sola, Norway.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Health, Safety & Environmental Manager:

    Managing all HSE functions pertaining to LUKL NUF activities in Norway.
    Planning, Organising and facilitating all the clients HSE training in support of the LUKL NUF contracted activities
    LUKL NUF Risk Assessor
    LUKL NUF Radiation Protection Representative
    Appointed as the LUKL NUF Health, Safety and Environmental Manager (HSE) responsible for:

    Implementation and continued development of Safety Management Systems that encompass commonality throughout the client (UK) for LUKL NUF contracted tasks in Norway.
    All HSE functions specified in the Norwegian All-Weather Search and Rescue
    Helicopter (NAWSARH) Operating Procedures Manual (OPM) and any Maintenance & Service Operating Procedure (SOP)
    Ensuring that activities are undertaken in accordance with the requirements set out in the clients UK Health, Safety and Environmental Operating Manual (HSEOM) and HSE Management System Manual (HSEMSM), These manuals identify the key responsibilities under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and associated statutory regulations
    KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Analysis of information from the internal reporting system and presentation of this information at Management Meetings to drive safety initiatives
    Review and co-ordinate the release of information to Management and staff on Maintenance Event and Safety related matters
    Responsible for ensuring that all HSE measures meet statutory requirements as well as Company and Authority requirements ensuring ISO 45001 compliance.
    Maintain the WA4570 HSMS Compliance Matrix to manage the deltas between LUKL NUF and the Customers requirements.
    Advising the management team of any risks or conflicting requirements.
    Control and implement HSE Risk Assessment programmes including the co-ordination of measures to minimise identified risks.
    Ensuring that mandated HE Audits on LUKL NUF are conducted as directed by the clients HSE Department, compiling and distributing the clients HSE Objectives and Departmental Safety Plan.
    Report all accidents and incidents on the clients SPHERA system and ensure that any investigations are conducted as required.
    Responsible for ensuring that all internal HE Audits are conducted as directed by the clients  HSE Department and control of the Health and Safety documentation, ensuring that all records of all HE related Accidents, Incidents and Occurrences are retained.
    Assurance that Lasers used by LUKL NUF are used in accordance with current Laser Safety instructions detailed in the AW(Apply online only) variant Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP) and relevant customer local Station Orders
    Primary point of contact regarding liaison with Radiation Protection Officer.
    Ensuring LUKL NUF compliance with Safety instructions detailed in the AW(Apply online only) variant Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP) and relevant customer local Station orders in relation to radiation hazard associated with the functional testing of Aircraft systems and test equipment.
    Control of environmental standards and procedures within LUKL NUF Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) area, to meet the requirements of the Helicopters Environmental Policy and Procedures (EPP) document and the Air Station Environmental Policy
    Responsible for assurance that all LUKL NUF Environmental Risk Assessments meet the Air Station requirements.
    Responsible for the HSE Training of LUKL personnel nominated for HSE responsibilities. Liaise within the organisation for Initial, Continuation and Refresher Training as necessary.
    Responsible for the sponsorship, amendment and revalidation of HSE sponsored LUKL NUF OPMs and MSOPs
    Responsible for ensuring that all LUKL NUF personnel have access to advice and information on all HSE matters and that constant publicity is given to this subject.
    Responsible for ensuring that all new LUK NUF employees and visitors are briefed on the Health and Safety measures in force, ensuring that all new employees receive an on-site induction brief. Records are to be retained in their Personal Competency Folders.
    Ensuring that all HE issues are correctly raised to the LUKL NUF Maintenance Manager for presentation at the Engineering Management Meeting.
    Ensure that all HSE issues are effectively communicated at Engineering meetings and discussed, decisions taken and actions agreed are properly recorded and implemented satisfactorily.
    Primary liaison with the clients Helicopters' HSE department and the Air Station HSE Department on matters relevant to LUKL NUF
    Ensure all changes to the fit form and function of the facilities and or equipment utilised by LUKL NUF is reported via the Management of Change (MOC) process using the Sphera Electronic HSE reporting tool
    Ensure that any audit Non-compliances are copied to the LUKL NUF QSM for assessment against NOR MAR Part 145 and whether additional reporting/control is required.
    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory HSE position in industry.
    Preferably experience gained in an Aviation Maintenance organisation
    NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health.
    Preferably, ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor.
    Preferably IEMA Trained.
    Preferably experience of delivering and facilitating training
    Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident, effective approach to personal communications.
    Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and diligence and maintain a tenacious commitment to high standards.
    Ability to communicate confidently with Senior Management, customers and staff by effectively expressing ideas and information clearly and concisely in both verbal and visual form.
