How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application and connectivity issues.

Escalate complex issues where appropriate while maintaining ownership and communication.

Deliver support in line with agreed service levels and customer satisfaction targets.

Provision and decommission user accounts for joiners, movers and leavers.

Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals.

Support Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook and other core business applications.

Assist with endpoint security, patching and software deployment activities.

Carry out device refresh, upgrade and replacement programmes.

Perform routine monitoring and health checks across supported systems.

Maintain IT asset registers and software licence records.

Create and update technical documentation and knowledge-base materials.

Support meeting room technology and office-based equipment.

Assist with technology procurement and equipment management activities.

Support technology projects and rollout activities across the business.

Assist with onboarding acquired businesses into the Benchmark technology estate.

Identify opportunities to improve support services and colleague experience.

Work collaboratively with technology teams, suppliers and business stakeholders.

Support access management, identity management and security controls.

Assist with audits, compliance reviews and regulatory requirements.

Promote security awareness and best practice across the business.

Ensure IT procedures, standards and controls are followed and documented.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

Experience using IT service management and ticketing platforms.

    Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple competing tasks.

Experience supporting laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices and peripheral hardware.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.

Knowledge of ITIL principles and service management best practice.

Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management technologies.

Experience building, deploying and supporting Windows 11 devices.

    Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting.

Experience supporting remote monitoring and management tools.
