How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior CNC Operator to join a well-established manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional who is comfortable taking ownership of machining activities while also supporting the development of less experienced operators.

The position combines hands-on CNC programming, setting and operation with an important mentoring element. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage their own workload, solve machining problems and help maintain high standards across the CNC function. A key part of this position will be helping to develop other members of the CNC team

    Key Responsibilities

Program, set and operate CNC routers to manufacture components accurately and efficiently.
Interpret technical drawings, job specifications and production documentation.
Select appropriate materials, tooling, cutting parameters and machining methods for each job.
Complete machine set-ups and ensure components meet required tolerances and quality standards.
Monitor jobs throughout the machining process and make adjustments where necessary.
Organise workload effectively to help maintain production schedules and priorities.
Identify and resolve machining, tooling and programming issues.
Work alongside maintenance colleagues when required to diagnose faults and reduce machine downtime.
Carry out routine checks and help ensure CNC equipment remains in good working condition.
Maintain accurate production information and communicate progress, delays or issues to the relevant production lead.
Follow all health, safety, quality and operational procedures.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
    Skills & Experience

Significant hands-on experience operating and setting CNC routers within a manufacturing environment.
Strong CNC programming knowledge and the ability to confidently make programming changes.
Good understanding of tooling, machining methods, feeds and speeds.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, job packs and manufacturing specifications.
    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good understanding of manufacturing quality requirements.
Ability to organise and prioritise work in a busy production environment.
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving production issues.
Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
