How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About Us

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of high-end kitchen equipment across our properties.

    The Role

    As a Commercial Catering Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will deliver both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and the highest operational standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of commercial catering equipment
    Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive breakdowns
    Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across a variety of kitchen equipment
    Work on equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, hot cupboards, woks, and Rational ovens
    Source and order parts and materials as required
    Complete certification and job reports accurately (manual or electronic)
    Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders
    Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring work is completed to required standards
    Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
    Participate in shift patterns as required during client occupationWhat We're Looking For

    We are seeking a professional with:

    Gas Safe certified (CCCN1 Core Commercial Catering Gas Safety)
    COMCAT qualifications (1-5 preferred)
    NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
    Strong experience working with commercial catering equipment
    Knowledge of Natural Gas & LPG systems
    Good understanding of health & safety, COSHH, and building regulations
    Ability to diagnose faults and work independently
    Strong communication and organisational skills
