About the role
We are looking for a reliable and practical Semi Skilled Joiner to join a busy working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Semi Skilled Joiner with good woodworking skills, attention to detail and a hands on approach to their work.
As a Semi Skilled Joiner, you will support the completion of a range of joinery and woodworking tasks, working to a good standard of quality and accuracy. The successful Semi Skilled Joiner will be confident using basic woodworking tools, able to follow instructions and take pride in producing a professional finish.
This role would suit a Semi Skilled Joiner who is looking to develop their skills and gain further experience within a practical joinery environment.
Key responsibilities
• Carry out general joinery and woodworking tasks
• Measure, cut and assemble materials accurately
• Use hand tools and basic woodworking equipment safely
• Assist with the preparation, fitting and finishing of joinery components
• Follow drawings, measurements and instructions where required
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area
• Check completed work to ensure it meets the required standard
• Work effectively as part of a team while also being able to complete tasks independently
Skills and experience required
Essential:
• Previous experience in a joinery, woodworking or similar practical role
• Basic joinery and woodworking skills
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions and work to required standards
• Reliable and punctual approach to work
• Good practical and problem solving skills
What is on offer
• Hourly rate of £14.75 to £17.00 depending on skills and experience
