How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Parts Sales Advisor (UK)
    Location: Dorking, Surrey
    Salary: £33,000 Basic
    Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Days

    Overall Purpose of the Position:

    The purpose of this role is to provide UK customers with the highest level of care and service by ensuring spare parts are supplied accurately, efficiently and within the required timescales.
    The Parts Sales Advisor will take responsibility for supporting customers with their parts requirements, processing orders, identifying and interpreting parts, and developing strong customer relationships. The role will also involve promoting and increasing profitable parts sales in line with company targets and pricing structures.
    The successful candidate will work closely with the wider team to deliver excellent customer service, monitor customer requirements and orders, and proactively identify opportunities to grow sales and improve performance.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities Parts Sales Advisor:

    Provide customers with a helpful, professional, prompt and efficient parts service.
    Ensure customers are kept informed of the status of their orders, particularly where orders are urgent, sensitive or where problems arise.
    Provide an accurate and efficient order receipt and processing service.
    Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers.
    Respond positively and professionally to customer enquiries and requests for assistance.
    Proactively identify new sales opportunities to support the growth of parts sales.
    Provide parts interpretation and identification services to customers.
    Offer accurate and timely advice regarding parts availability, suitability and requirements.
    Ensure all customer orders are processed and executed in accordance with customer requirements.
    Monitor customer orders and provide updates or solutions where required.
    Seek appropriate authorisation for proposed discount arrangements, ensuring agreed margins and pricing targets are maintained.
    Gather and report market intelligence and customer feedback to management.
    Identify and propose process improvements to enhance parts sales performance and customer service.
    Actively participate in team meetings and support the wider department as required.
    Provide support to the team during periods of absence, including assisting the UK Parts Supervisor where necessary.
    Build strong internal relationships with relevant departments to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
    Maintain accurate records and ensure company systems are updated correctly.
    Carry out any other duties that are reasonably required and appropriate to the role.Skills & Experience Required for the Parts Sales Advisor:

    Previous experience within a parts, automotive, commercial vehicle, plant, machinery or similar technical sales environment.
    Strong customer service and communication skills.
    Experience processing customer orders and managing enquiries.
    The ability to identify and interpret parts and provide accurate technical advice.
    Good commercial awareness with the ability to identify sales opportunities.
    Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer requirements.
    A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
    The ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
    Good IT skills and confidence using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
    The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Personal Attributes:
