How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Hybrid 3 Days a Week on Site
    Contract Length: 12 Months

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a major infrastructure and engineering programme on an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a complex project environment, supporting the management and assurance of critical technical documentation throughout the project life cycle.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that technical documents, drawings, specifications, quality records and asset handover information are accurately controlled, verified and maintained. You will work closely with contractors, designers, operators and project delivery teams to ensure all documentation meets the required standards before assets are transferred into operational ownership.

    Key Responsibilities

    As Document Controller, you will:

    Check, publish, track and distribute project documentation in accordance with established procedures.
    Manage document approval workflows and undertake quality assurance reviews of submitted documentation.
    Respond to document and drawing-related queries from stakeholders and system users.
    Produce regular reports and maintain document registers, audit trails and training records.
    Support the management of digital Health & Safety files, archiving requirements and controlled reprographic.
    Liaise with the Principal Designer to ensure all documentation requirements and compliance obligations are achieved.
    Execute day-to-day document control activities within Common Data Environments (CDEs), including SharePoint and ProjectWise.
    Manage document check-in/check-out procedures, status coding, metadata management and revision control.
    Coordinate with contractors, owners and operators to resolve documentation gaps and discrepancies.
    Review and verify technical drawings and associated documentation to ensure compliance with project standards.
    Support the successful completion of asset handover activities and ensure "As-Built" records accurately reflect the completed works.
    About You

    To be considered for this role, you will have:

    Essential Skills & Experience

    Previous experience as a Document Controller within rail, construction, infrastructure, engineering or other Tier-1 project environments.
    Strong understanding of technical documentation, drawings, specifications and quality records.
    Knowledge of document control processes, including revision control, status coding and construction information life cycles.
    Practical experience using SharePoint and ProjectWise within a Common Data Environment (CDE).
    Advanced Project Wise and Microsoft Excel skills, including data validation, complex formulas, reporting and dashboard creation.
    Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation and meet strict deadlines.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience engaging multiple stakeholders across complex projects.
    Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote or hybrid environment.
