How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

    We have an exciting opportunity for three Team Leaders to join our Work & Wellbeing team, with posts covering Barnsley, Sheffield, Doncaster and Rotherham.

    This is an opportunity to lead a team of Employment Specialists who support people experiencing mental health conditions, disabilities and other barriers to achieve meaningful and sustained employment outcomes.

Working alongside employers, partners and health services, you'll help shape an employment support service that delivers real impact for individuals and communities across South Yorkshire.

    As a Team Leader, you'll provide day-to-day leadership, performance management and professional support to a team of Employment Specialists.

    You'll create an environment where people can thrive, ensuring your team has the clarity, confidence and support needed to deliver excellent outcomes for customers. At the same time, you'll maintain oversight of performance, quality and contractual requirements, helping the service consistently achieve high standards.

    Working closely with employers, commissioners, partners and stakeholders, you'll identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen partnerships and support the ongoing development of the service.

    The focus of the role is to:

    * Lead, coach and develop a team of Employment Specialists to achieve meaningful and sustained employment outcomes.

    * Create a positive and inclusive team culture where people perform at their best.

    * Drive performance while maintaining a strong focus on quality, customer experience and values-based practice.

    * Monitor outcomes, quality and compliance to ensure contractual expectations are achieved.

    * Build effective relationships with partners, employers and stakeholders to improve services and outcomes for customers.
