How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Artisan Recruitment are working with a leading infrastructure and engineering organisation to recruit an experienced ESG / HSQE Coordinator to support the continued development and delivery of its Environmental, Social and Governance strategy across a diverse portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in ESG, sustainability, environmental management, social value or HSQE who is looking to develop their career within a dynamic, project-led environment.

You will play a key role in coordinating ESG activity across projects, helping to ensure that client requirements, contractual commitments, legal obligations and corporate sustainability objectives are effectively delivered, measured and evidenced.

Working closely with project teams, procurement, commercial, HR, business development, supply chain partners and clients, you will help embed ESG considerations into project planning and delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support the Group HSQE and Sustainability Director with the implementation and ongoing development of ESG/HSQE strategies, policies, objectives and annual action plans.

    * Assist with the collection, validation and reporting of environmental and carbon data.

    * Coordinate the development and delivery of social value initiatives and programmes.

    * Support the implementation and review of governance and responsible-business policies.

    * Work with project managers to identify and address relevant ESG requirements during project mobilisation.

    * Support bid and business development teams with ESG, sustainability, carbon and social value submissions.

    * Establish and maintain effective systems for collecting ESG information from projects, departments and supply chain partners.

    * Promote ESG awareness and good practice throughout the organisation.

    * Represent the organisation professionally at client, industry and community events where required.

    * Collate HSQE data to support the reduction of accidents and incidents and contribute to continuous improvement.

    About You

    You will ideally have:

    * A relevant qualification or demonstrable experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, social value, corporate responsibility, construction or a related discipline.

    * Experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, rail or another project-based environment.

    * An understanding of the environmental and social impacts associated with construction and infrastructure activities.

    * Experience collecting, analysing and reporting performance data.

    * The ability to produce clear and engaging reports, case studies and presentations.

    * Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple actions, priorities and reporting deadlines.

    * Strong Microsoft Office, written and verbal communication skills.

    * The ability to build effective working relationships with both site-based and office-based teams.

    * A willingness to travel to project sites, depots and offices across the UK.

    * A full UK driving licence.

    Why Join?

This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact on how ESG, sustainability, social value and HSQE are embedded across major infrastructure projects.

You will work alongside experienced operational and sustainability professionals, gaining exposure to a broad range of projects and stakeholders while helping to shape practical, measurable and meaningful ESG outcomes.

Artisan Recruitment are managing this opportunity on behalf of the organisation. If you are organised, proactive and passionate about sustainability, responsible business and HSQE, we would like to hear from you
