How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    DMU 80 / 4-axis  |  Rugby  |  Permanent day shift

    SALARY

    £36,000 - £39,000 per annum

    WORKING WEEK

    40 hours, Monday to Friday

    SHIFT

    Mon-Thu 07:30-16:45 | Fri 07:30-12:30

    The opportunity

    The Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering business in Rugby. Due to continued growth and investment in technology, our client is seeking a qualified and ambitious CNC Miller to join its manufacturing team.

    The business specialises in high-value, technically demanding CNC milling and turning applications for customers across engineering, aerospace, automotive, oil and gas. It has a strong reputation for quality, reliability and customer service.

    Key responsibilities

    Programme, set and operate CNC milling jobs.
    Work with MillPlus controls and G-code-based programmes.
    Carry out online programming and 4-axis milling.
    Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
    Work independently, manage priorities and maintain consistently high standards.
    At least 10 years' experience in CNC milling.
    A strong CNC machine-tool background and a technically minded approach.
    Knowledge of Fanuc controls and MillPlus.
    Organised, efficient and confident working on your own initiative.
    Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail.
    Negotiable salary of £36,000 - £39,000, depending on experience.
    25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
    Overtime paid at time and one-third after 40 hours.
    Early finish every Friday.
