How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a experienced and enthusiastic RECOVERY & TENANCY SUSTAINMENT WORKER within New Start’s Adult Services division. The successful candidate will support the Harmony Project offering advice, guidance and targeted support to residents accessing the supported accommodation service.

    You will join us on a 18 month fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (weekend working not required) and in return will receive a competitive salary of £(phone number removed).

We deliver a diverse range of homelessness projects and temporary housing solutions, helping some of the most complex and disadvantaged groups across Merseyside. The services we provide aim to enhance lives by offering good quality homes and structured support; encouraging clients to achieve independence and engage in constructive opportunities which will enable them to live a more fulfilled and enriched existence.

    Responsibilities of our Recovery & Tenancy Sustainment Worker:

    Managing a caseload of 26 residents. 

    Focusing support around recovery and tenancy sustainment, community reintegration, independent living skills and resettlement

    Ensuring residents are involved in ETE, meaningful use of time, have access to opportunities, and are supported to build social capital to strengthen their recovery and keep positively on track

    Targeting assistance to those struggling with their recovery in-line with their personal relapse prevention plan

    Targeting support to those struggling with their tenancy, taking a solution-focused and preventative approach that will help keep them housed

    Abiding by Health and Safety regulations and supporting others in this area

    Undertaking operational, administrative and recording tasks required for the role

    What are we’re looking for in a Recovery & Tenancy Sustainment Worker:

    Demonstrable experience in the role of a Recovery Worker, Housing Officer or Outreach Worker within the community or within a hostel setting

    Experience and knowledge of working with individuals in recovery from alcohol/substance misuse and the challenges faced by those on a journey of recovery striving to remain abstinent

    NVQ Level 3 in Housing/Health and Social Care/or equivalent qualifications

    The ability to accurately record information within case notes and support plans professionally and effectively

    Experience of supporting vulnerable individuals through crisis and/or periods of change

    Experience and knowledge of how to access the Property Pool Plus System and alternative housing options for residents within the city of Liverpool

    Knowledge of opportunities, community facilities and ETE providers across the city

    Experience of working with adults with multiple and complex needs who can exhibit challenging behaviour

    Excellent understanding of professional boundaries when working with vulnerable adults

    Experience of completing risk assessments and incident reports to a high standard

    Essential car user post (non-negotiable)

    Current good working demographical knowledge of the city of Liverpool
