The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics & Fulfilment Supervisor / Manager to join our client’s team in Reading.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on logistics professional who enjoys leading a team, improving processes and taking ownership of day-to-day operational performance.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring logistics and fulfilment operations run smoothly, efficiently and to schedule, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting production management with resource planning and utilisation
* ·Working closely with client services and production teams to ensure delivery targets are achieved
* Managing and supporting a team, including absence management, holidays, training and development
* Resolving employee queries and conflicts effectively
* Acting as the Health & Safety lead for the department
* Planning ahead and creating a proactive, solution-focused culture
* Ensuring the team has the tools, equipment and resources required
* Maintaining a safe, positive and productive working environment
* Driving continuous improvement across processes and operations
* Monitoring performance, quality and delivery standards
* Supporting commercial decision-making and effective cost control
What We're Looking For
* Previous supervisory or management experience within logistics, fulfilment or warehouse operations
* Proven experience managing and leading a team
* Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics operations
* Experience working within a fast-paced environment
* Competent using order processing, ERP or warehouse management systems
* Strong Excel, data handling and reporting skills
* Good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance
* Commercial awareness and an understanding of cost control
