How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Great opportunity to work as a Cage Repair Operative for our worldwide client based in Aylesbury.
    Design and manufacture products for a range of industries and are fully committed to managing environmental impact.

    The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour

    This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are:
    - 7am to 4pm

    Your Time at Work
    As a Cage Repair Operative, your duties include:

    Trolley Repairing:
    - Conduct initial checks on the trolley noting areas requiring attention.
    - Work systematically through amends required - setting aside for 'hard' repairs if necessary.
    - Remove any debris from the wheels, ensuring the trolley is cosmetically pleasing.
    - Carry out a further check to ensure all repairs have been made and the trolley is operating correctly.
    - Conduct one final check to ensure there are no sharp edges, caster flow properly etc.

    Trolley Handling:
    - Manage the movement of trolleys within the working environment appropriately and in line with Health & Safety.
    - Use of a scanner to ensure every repair is scanned and recorded.

    General:
    - Keep your working area clean, tidy, and free of any foreign objects, throughout the day.
    - All required PPE and Cowin uniforms must be worn at all times.
    - Ensure you are familiar with, and abide by, the Employee Handbook and Policies
    and all relevant Risk Assessments assigned to the tasks you are being asked to carry out.
