How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Company Description: Osman Institute is an education-focused organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality IELTS preparation to learners worldwide. The institute specialises in structured exam preparation programmes designed to support academic, professional, and migration goals. Osman Institute leverages modern online learning tools to provide flexible, accessible education to a diverse student population. The team values learner-centered teaching, cultural sensitivity, and continuous professional development for instructors. Joining Osman Institute offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful exam preparation in a supportive, remote environment.

Role Description: The IELTS Teacher is a remote role responsible for delivering engaging and effective online IELTS lessons to learners of varying proficiency levels. Day-to-day tasks include teaching live group classes, adapting provided lesson plans into teaching slides, assessing learner progress against the official band descriptors, and providing constructive feedback on Writing and Speaking.

The teacher will prepare students for both Academic and General Training, teach all four papers — Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking — and work through real exam material live, explaining the reasoning behind each answer rather than simply providing keys. The role also involves running breakout-room speaking practice, maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance, collaborating with academic staff to refine the curriculum, and ensuring that all online teaching adheres to institute standards and best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Demonstrable experience preparing learners for IELTS, with results you can speak to.
    • Experience teaching group classes, ideally in an online setting.
    • Working command of the official IELTS band descriptors — able to explain the difference between a band 6 and a band 7 answer.
    • Able to teach both Academic or General Training, and to explain where the two diverge.
    • Confident teaching all four papers, including question-type strategy for Listening and Reading.
    • Willing and able to adapt provided lesson plans into your own teaching slides. Our lessons are delivered visually; this is a core part of the role.
    • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, or similar teaching certification preferred.
    • Experience as an official IELTS examiner is strongly preferred, and compensated accordingly.
    • Comfort with remote teaching platforms, digital classroom tools, breakout rooms, and basic educational technology.
    • Strong organisational skills, reliability in a remote work setting, and a learner-centered teaching approach.
