Position: Media Studies Teacher / Media Subject Lead
Ace Academics are working with a well-established, Good-rated secondary academy in Havering who are looking to appoint an experienced Media Studies Teacher for an initial one-term assignment.
The school is specifically looking to increase capacity within Media Studies and strengthen the leadership of the subject, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced Media Teacher, aspiring Head of Media or current Subject Lead/HOD looking for a short-term leadership opportunity.
The Role:
*
Teach Media Studies at KS3/KS4, including GCSE level
*
Support and enhance the leadership and development of Media Studies
*
Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment and raising standards
*
Support colleagues and help drive consistency across the subject
*
Engage and inspire pupils through creative and academically strong Media teaching
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) preferred
*
Strong experience teaching Media Studies / GCSE Media
*
Previous subject leadership, HOD, 2iC or curriculum responsibility is an advantage but not essential
*
Strong knowledge of Media Studies curriculum, assessment and exam requirements
*
Confident stepping into a department and making an immediate positive impact
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
The school is a mixed 11–16 secondary academy with a supportive environment and an established creative curriculum. This position would particularly suit an experienced Media specialist who enjoys combining excellent classroom teaching with curriculum and subject leadership.
