How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Our client, a national technology company, is seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Engineer to support high‑quality engineering across a modern, scalable software platform. This role sits within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and offers strong exposure to architecture, modern tooling and complex technical challenges.

    Key technical duties to include:

    * Contribute to solution architecture in partnership with senior engineers and the Head Architect

    * Support the creation and presentation of technical approaches and proposed solutions

    * Produce clear, high‑level documentation for agreed technical implementations

    * Participate in solution design sessions, design workshops and peer code reviews

    * Write high‑quality, well‑tested production code and assist with refactoring legacy components

    * Apply best‑practice development techniques, including design patterns and coding standards

    * Contribute to user story creation, acceptance criteria, estimation and testing

    * Fully engage in agile ceremonies: planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives

    * Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to the platform and business needs

    * Support and collaborate with colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing to team capability

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java Spring, microservices architecture and event‑driven systems using Kafka. You will demonstrate the ability to build robust, scalable and highly available solutions, with hands‑on experience across Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB and modern observability tooling.

A solid grounding in design patterns, Domain‑Driven Design and front‑end development—ideally React—is important, along with the ability to produce production‑quality code with solid test coverage. Strong communication skills, proactive ownership, transparency and a solution‑focused mindset are essential in this high‑tempo, collaborative engineering culture.

The company provides a competitive salary and a fast‑paced, supportive engineering environment built on psychological safety, open communication and technical excellence. You’ll work with modern technologies, gain exposure to complex architectural challenges and have opportunities to grow your technical capability.

The organisation promotes continuous learning, mentoring opportunities and professional development, giving engineers the space to innovate, share knowledge and contribute to high‑impact, scalable systems. This role also offers hybrid working flexibility, with two office days per week
