How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Part-Time School Cleaner

    Location: WirraL
    Hours: Wednesday to Friday, 4:00pm-6:30pm each week
    Hours per week: 7.5 hours
    Salary: £17PH
    We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Cleaner to join our school team on a part-time basis.
    The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.

    Key responsibilities

    Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas
    Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
    Cleaning and sanitising surfaces
    Ensuring the school is clean and ready for the following day
    Following health and safety and cleaning procedures
    Reporting any maintenance or cleaning issues to the appropriate member of staff

    We are looking for someone who

    Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
    Has good attention to detail
    Can work independently and use their own initiative
    Has a positive and professional attitude
    Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided

    Working hours

    Wednesday to Friday, 4:00pm-6:30pm, every week (7.5 hours per week).

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date
