How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    PMO Manager

Location: Heathrow / West London, with international travel
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Sector: Logistics / Aviation / Supply Chain

    The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PMO Manager to join a growing international organisation operating within the specialist logistics and aviation sector.

The business is entering a significant period of growth and transformation, driven by organic expansion and acquisition. As PMO Manager, you will play a pivotal role in turning strategic priorities into successful delivery, establishing robust governance and creating a clear, consistent view of projects and programmes across the organisation.

This is much more than a traditional reporting-focused PMO position. You will have the opportunity to build and shape the PMO function, lead acquisition integrations, establish performance and OKR frameworks, support technology rollouts and coordinate major operational initiatives across an international network.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role suited to someone who combines strong project controls with commercial awareness and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

    The Role

As PMO Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation's change portfolio, ensuring projects and programmes are appropriately governed, prioritised and aligned with strategic objectives.

Acting as the single source of truth for portfolio performance, you will provide senior leadership with clear visibility of progress, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation.

You will also develop scalable processes and frameworks that enable the organisation to successfully manage continued growth and future acquisitions.

    Key Responsibilities

Own the consolidated view of the project and change portfolio, including milestones, status, risks, dependencies, budgets and resource requirements.
Develop, implement and continuously improve project-management methodologies, standards, templates and stage-gate governance.
Establish and chair project and portfolio review forums, ensuring effective decision-making, accountability and escalation.
Implement robust controls across project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, issues and change.
Track benefits realisation and challenge projects or initiatives that are not delivering expected outcomes.
Develop a repeatable acquisition-integration framework, covering people, systems, processes, customers and compliance.
Lead and coordinate integration programmes following acquisitions, providing clear progress reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Own and develop the organisation's OKR and performance-management framework, creating measurable outcomes and an effective review cadence.
Lead the selection and implementation of appropriate project-portfolio management and OKR tools, replacing manual processes where appropriate.
Create a trusted and consistent reporting framework, including accurate portfolio dashboards for senior stakeholders.
Lead or oversee technology and systems implementations, ensuring successful adoption through effective training and change management.
Coordinate operational projects including new facility openings, relocations and consolidations.
Partner with operational teams on service and continuous-improvement programmes.
Maintain robust risk and issue registers with clear ownership and mitigation plans.
Work collaboratively across Operations, Technology, Commercial, Compliance and Finance functions.
Support customer implementation projects where required.
Recruit, lead, coach and develop PMO colleagues and project managers as the function grows.
Champion continuous improvement while ensuring projects meet appropriate safety, quality, security and regulatory requirements.

    Essential Experience

Strong knowledge of recognised project-management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMI/PMP, APM or Agile, together with excellent project-control capabilities.
A proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Experience establishing or improving project governance, reporting and delivery standards.
Demonstrable success implementing new tools, processes and ways of working and driving adoption across a business.
Excellent stakeholder-management, communication and influencing skills, including experience working with executive-level stakeholders.

    Desirable Experience

Experience in one or more of the following would be particularly advantageous:

    M&A integration within a high-growth or investment-backed organisation.
Logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, aviation or aerospace.
Working within regulated, safety-critical or compliance-driven environments.
    International technology or systems implementations.
    Business-process and continuous-improvement programmes
