How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are searching for an experienced and organised Document Controller on behalf of a well-established company operating within the earthworks and civil engineering sector.

    The successful candidate will become a central point for project information, ensuring drawings, permits, site records and project documentation are accurate, up to date and readily available when required.

    You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers and clients, helping to ensure projects run efficiently from start to finish.

    Responsibilities:

    * Maintain project document registers and organised filing systems.

    * Issue and distribute drawings, revisions and technical information.

    * Ensure project folders are kept organised and up to date.

    * Support Project Managers with general project administration.

    * Assist with compiling Health & Safety files and handover documentation.

    * Track approvals, drawing revisions and client information.

    * Upload and manage documents through client portals.

    * Liaise with site teams to ensure all required paperwork is completed correctly.

    * Attend site when required to collect information and support project teams.

    * Produce reports and maintain accurate project records.

    Experience:

    Previous experience working as a Document Controller would be advantageous, particularly within construction, civil engineering or a similar environment, although this is not essential.

    We are also open to candidates with strong administrative or project coordination experience who are looking to develop their career within the construction sector
