How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Neo4j Engineer
    Duration - 7 months
    Location - London, hybrid - 1-2 days per week on site
    £910 per day (Inside IR35)

    My client, in the financial industry are looking for a Senior Neo4j Engineer to join their fast-paced team on an initial 7 month contract.

    Can interpret the instruction from the overall solution architect for the project into approaches and tasks in Neo4j, and direct a small engineering team to complete these to high quality
    Designs and builds the Neo4j graph database schemas, translating the target into concrete node/relationship structures
    Defines, develops and maintains ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from source systems into the graph
    Designs and defines sub-graph views to control and manage the content available to downstream consumers of the graph
    Writes and optimises Cypher queries for data loading, transformation, and application-facing retrieval
    Implements graph data models that balance query performance with semantic accuracy
    Builds and maintains APIs/integration layers exposing graph data to downstream consumers (including the chatbot)
    Collaborates with the Knowledge Graph Architect to implement ontology, knowledge and schema changes as code
    Supports performance tuning, indexing, and scaling of the Neo4j instance
    Automates data refresh and synchronisation processes between source systems and the graph
    Troubleshoots data integrity and pipeline issues in collaboration with the Quality Engineer
    Documents graph schema and data lineage
    Defines , designs and implements graph quality metrics and measurement techniques to maintain, calculate and display confidence scores
    Defines and designs APOC and Neosemantic processing within Neo4j to identify and deal with orphans, orphaned subgraphs, duplicates and high similarity objects
