School Caretaker – Join a Friendly Primary School Community
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-established, Popular Primary school tucked away within Sevenoaks, seeking a reliable, proactive and hands-on School Caretaker to join their site team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented environment where pupils and staff can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
*
Opening and securing the school site each day.
*
Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and DIY tasks.
*
Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well maintained.
*
Completing regular health and safety checks.
*
Assisting with room setups for school events and activities.
*
Liaising with contractors and monitoring work carried out on site.
*
Reporting maintenance issues and keeping accurate records.
*
Supporting the school with compliance and site security.
The Ideal Candidate
*
Previous experience in a caretaker, site supervisor, facilities or maintenance role.
*
Good practical DIY and maintenance skills.
*
Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
*
Able to work independently and manage their workload effectively.
*
Friendly, approachable and committed to providing an excellent service.
*
Flexible, dependable and willing to support the wider school community.
Essential Requirements
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
*
Right to work in the UK.
*
Previous experience in a similar maintenance or caretaking role.
