How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Furniture & Floor Coverings Systems Co-ordinator

    Location: Kettering, UK
    Salary: Up to £25,235 per annum
    Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

    Interaction Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Furniture & Floor Coverings Systems Co-ordinator to join their specialist technical team in Kettering.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to develop their career within a specialist testing and quality environment.

    The successful candidate will work across the Furniture and Floor Coverings business areas, supporting the maintenance and development of quality management and health & safety systems. The role will involve working within a UKAS-accredited ISO 17025 quality management system, with full training provided where required.

    The Role

    As a Systems Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include:

    Maintaining and improving quality-related documentation and records
    Managing calibration certificates, equipment maintenance records, certificates of conformity and standard reference materials
    Supporting gap analysis, software validations and spreadsheet validations
    Performing calibrations, drift analysis and risk assessments
    Supporting witnessed assessments and uncertainty of measurement budgets
    Managing check testing and trial participation
    Supporting annual UKAS audits, including organising auditors and coordinating evidence for improvement actions
    Coordinating ISO 17025 accreditation schedule extensions where applicable
    Assisting with the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures
    Working alongside the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager and senior business area managers to ensure health & safety requirements are met
    Maintaining personal training and competency records
    Purchasing and verifying standard materials
    Completing COSHH records where required
    Working to agreed deadlines while responding effectively to changing priorities

    About You

    We are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and an interest in quality systems and technical compliance.

    Essential requirements:

    A-levels or equivalent, including Mathematics
    Previous experience working within a quality environment
    Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
    Highly motivated, reliable and flexible in responding to changing deadlines and priorities
    Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
    Able to work independently and in an organised manner
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Effective time-management skills
    Good Microsoft Office skills
    Strong teamworking abilities
    Understanding of the importance of working within a quality system
    Good problem-solving skills
    Desirable:

    Experience implementing or maintaining quality management systems such as ISO 17025 or ISO 9001
    Knowledge or understanding of Health & Safety procedures
    Ability to learn new skills quickly
    Customer-focused approach
    Previous problem-solving experience
    Further education qualifications
